Frequently asked questions

Ordering

How can I order fonts?

You can order all fonts presented on this website either through my online store or directly from an exclusive distributor. You can find more details on the respective font family page.

If you have any special requests or would like to pay by invoice, simply contact me.

How can I pay?

You can pay by credit card, and in some regions also with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Link. You will find details about the accepted payment methods based on your location during the checkout process.

Do I get an invoice?

Sure! After the checkout you will receive a purchase confirmation, which includes the invoice and the purchased fonts.

Licensing

How does licensing work?

When you order a font, you do not buy the font itself, but you buy a license that allows you to use that font. I offer licenses for different use cases. All licenses are paid once and are valid perpetually, at least as long as you follow the terms of the EULA. If you exceed the license limits (number of users, number of web pageviews, number of app downloads), you need to purchase an additional license.

What is a Desktop license?

A desktop license allows you to install the fonts on a computer. Then you can use them in desktop programs (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, MS Word). The price of the desktop license depends on the number of users who install the fonts.

What is a Web license?

With the purchase of a web license you get fonts optimized for web use. You can upload these fonts to a web server and display them on websites using the CSS rule "@font-face". The price of the web license depends on the number of monthly page views.

What is an App license?

With an app license you can embed the fonts into a mobile app. This license is valid for one app title, no matter on which operating system (iOS, Android, Windows Phone) and device (smartwatch, smartphone, tablet) the app runs. The price of the app license depends on the number of monthly app downloads.

What is a Coporate license?

A corporate license covers all purposes with unlimited usage. It is suited for businesses that desire long-term and flexible licensing without having to worry about usage restrictions. The price of such a license depends on the size of the company. If you have any questions about this, please contact me.

Testing fonts

Can I test fonts before buying?

Of course you can. I offer trial fonts for all font families. You can download them here.

What do I have to consider when testing?

The use of the trial fonts is subject to the Trial font license agreement. You may try the fonts in your layouts, use them for pitches or presentations. They are for testing purposes only, but not for public projects.

Various

What font formats do you offer?

Most of my typefaces come in OTF (OpenType fonts with PostScript outlines), which is a platform-compatible format, meaning it works on all operating systems.

For web licenses, I offer WOFF and WOFF2 (OpenType fonts optimized for web use).

If you require other formats (such as TTF), let me know and I can produce them for an additional fee.

Do you sell Office packages?

Yes, I also sell Office packages, which are specially developed for working with Microsoft Office applications. These packages are not available through my store, but you can order them directly from me.

What does “Pro” actually mean?

Some of my fonts carry the suffix “Pro”. This means that these fonts support a wide range of OpenType features, for example small caps, different kinds of figures or alternate letter variants.

But: Fonts without the “Pro” in their name may still contain OpenType features. If in doubt, just ignore the “Pro” and look at the character set of the font family pages to find out which features are supported.
